Severe Weather Hits Lisbon Again
The Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (IPMA) has issued a yellow warning for Lisbon, effective from Wednesday to Friday. Expect periods of heavy rain or showers, becoming persistent and sometimes intense starting late Wednesday morning.

By afternoon, thunderstorms are likely to return, reminiscent of the recent event on November 5th, when over 20,000 positive lightning discharges were recorded in the Greater Lisbon area.
Additionally, moderate to strong winds are forecast, with gusts potentially reaching 70 km/h, especially in the morning and early afternoon. A slight drop in maximum temperatures is expected, along with rough sea conditions.
The Autoridade Nacional de Emergência e Protecção Civil has issued warnings about possible urban flooding, objects being swept onto roads, and the dislodging of poorly secured structures. They advise against sea-related activities, such as fishing, water sports, and coastal walks, and recommend avoiding parking vehicles near the shoreline.
