GNR Captures Fugitive in Algarve After Court Escape

On Wednesday morning, the GNR successfully apprehended Abdelkader Eddouh, an Algerian fugitive who had escaped from a police van outside the Lisbon Court of Appeal the previous day. The arrest took place in Estombar, Lagoa after a local resident reported seeing the suspect around 9:40 AM.

The military police approached Eddouh, who appeared to be undocumented but was identified due to his physical resemblance to media images of the fugitive. He was subsequently taken into custody for formal identification at the local station.
