A Cozy Retreat in Campo de Ourique

Appreciating a coffee in the morning or during a break while reading a book is one of those simple pleasures in life that feels even better when you find a refuge from the city's hustle and bustle. That's why we've even prepared a themed guide to Lisbon's bookstore-cafés. But now, how about discovering a place where specialty coffee reigns supreme?

Located in Campo de Ourique, Double Trouble is a new spot in the city that aims to stand out as an intimate meeting point. Created by three Brazilian friends, Júlia, Thiago, and Rico, this venue celebrates specialty coffee in a vintage atmosphere with jazz in the mix.

Highlights in Drinks

Under the motto of the "coffee and little things" experience, Double Trouble focuses on more common beverages, such as espresso (€1.20), Americano (€2.50), and macchiatos (€2.30), as well as less obvious options.

We highlight items like the Mont Blanc (€4.20), an Australian trend that combines iced coffee with a layer of creamy whipped cream.

The Mont Fuji (€4.80) is a version inspired by matcha. Also worth mentioning is the Batidão (€5), an unusual iced blend of milk, banana, peanut butter, and a shot of espresso.

And for Snacking?

Although the main role belongs to specialty coffee, at Double Trouble, you can also snack. For example, the Toalha Felpuda (€3.90) is a coconut cake that promises to delight many.

Another highlight is the Tamógostoso (€9), a reinvention of the classic Japanese sandwich "tamago sando," but with a Portuguese touch from the addition of chorizo. The menu also includes vegetarian and vegan options.

A Well-Deserved Break at Double Trouble

With a capacity for 16 seats, Double Trouble features vintage decor, where the ambient music is provided by a 1950s record player and dominated by jazz sounds. It's a place to sit, relax, and enjoy.

Address: Rua Saraiva de Carvalho, 38 A
