A New Year's Eve to Remember
Albufeira's Carpe Nox at Praia dos Pescadores has become a hallmark of New Year's celebrations. On the night of December 31, more than 230,000 people filled the area, creating a vibrant atmosphere to bid farewell to 2024 and welcome 2025. This year’s event showcased Portugal's largest drone show, captivating attendees and solidifying its reputation as a premier destination for New Year festivities.
Musical Performances and Festivities
The night featured an exclusive concert by the legendary band Xutos & Pontapés, accompanied by an epic soundtrack synchronized with 500 drones, fireworks, lasers, and stunning special effects. The festivities kicked off on December 30 with a performance by Dino D'Santiago, leading into a series of diverse activities, including the 2nd edition of International Street Food with Chef Nuno Bergonse.

The event significantly boosts the local economy, with hotel occupancy reaching about 90% during the holiday season. Local restaurants and shops also benefited from the influx of visitors, proving Albufeira's potential for year-round tourism.
