Algarve's Regional Walking and Running Calendar is Back!
The Regional Calendar of Walking and Running in the Algarve is set to return in September with the same strength and dynamism we've come to expect! This initiative promotes healthy lifestyles and community engagement through a series of events across the region.
Event Details and Schedule
The 2025/26 season will kick off in Tavira on September 7, 2025, as part of the "Mediterranean Diet Fair," in partnership with the Tavira Municipality. It will conclude with a grand finale on June 14, 2026, in Almancil, organized by the Almancil Parish Council.
Coordination of this excellent sports project for everyone continues under the IPDJ (Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth), in collaboration with all Algarve Municipal Chambers, Parish Councils, Sports Clubs, and local associations. Thanks to everyone's valuable contributions, this season features 40 walking-running events, offering a diverse range of locations and serving as a major incentive for sports participation for all ages.
This is an invitation to the entire population, with no age limits, extending beyond weekend activities. It includes technical support during the week at Municipal Walking and Running Centers, adding consistency and robustness to the project's goal of fostering widespread healthy living habits.
A big thank you to all for the trust in organizing this excellent partnership that is the Algarve Regional Walking and Running Calendar.
