Flur has long been celebrated as one of the best record stores in Lisbon, and now, it has gained international recognition. According to the Financial Times, it is regarded as one of the top record stores in the world.
“Lisbon is an excellent destination for those seeking music from the Portuguese-speaking world, with its flea markets offering many treasures from Cape Verde, Angola, Brazil, and Guinea-Bissau. The best record store, however, is Flur, a haven filled with records, many of them local and inspired by Portugal's former colonies,” writes Richard Milne in a brief article celebrating this beloved music institution.
Originally opened on December 4, 2001, Flur became a must-visit spot for music enthusiasts for nearly two decades in Santa Apolónia. Since 2021, it has been located in the Mercado de Arroios, offering a carefully curated selection of new releases and rare finds across various genres and formats, including vinyl, cassettes, and CDs. Additionally, the store provides music magazines, books, T-shirts, and merchandise to satisfy all music lovers’ needs.
