Memory Walk Sensitizes for Alzheimer's Disease in Algarve
The Núcleo do Algarve da Alzheimer Portugal is organizing the Passeio da Memória this Saturday, September 20, starting at 9:00 AM, to mark the World Alzheimer's Day. This solidarity walk and run event features two routes: one of five kilometers and another of eight kilometers, with the meeting point at the former fish market in Portimão.
Registrations can be made at the Núcleo offices in Portimão or Lagoa by prior appointment, online via forms.gle/hpJu5q4C4iDny3To8, or on the day of the event. With a minimum donation of five euros, participants receive a kit including a bag, t-shirt, water, and informational flyers. Children up to 12 years old participate for free and receive the book 'O Pequeno Elefante Memo' from Alzheimer Portugal.
