Record-Breaking Sales of New Train Passes
In a remarkable turn of events, 30,000 new €20 train passes have been sold since their launch in October, significantly surpassing the previous €49 pass. This new initiative by CP (Comboios de Portugal) has proven to be a game changer for rail travel in Portugal.

Young Travelers Lead the Charge
Notably, nearly half of the applicants for these passes are young individuals, indicating a strong demand from the younger demographic. Additionally, over 70,000 reservations have already been made for Intercidades services, showcasing the popularity of this new offer.
This initiative not only promotes sustainable travel but also makes it more accessible for those who rely on public transportation, particularly the youth of Portugal.
