The Tribeca Festival Lisboa is set to return from October 30 to November 1, 2025, at the Unicorn Factory in Lisbon, with some exciting updates. Daniela Ruah and Joaquim de Almeida have been announced as the new ambassadors for the festival. The revelation was made on Tuesday, June 18, during a press conference at TUMO Lisboa, where new curators, partners, and a more accessible ticketing model were also unveiled.
"This is what Portugal needs: platforms that connect creators, ideas, and new perspectives with the rest of the world," said Daniela Ruah about joining the new edition of Tribeca. Joaquim de Almeida highlighted the global impact of the event, stating, "It's a privilege to be part of a festival that believes in the transformative power of storytelling and challenges the industry to look further and deeper."
Alongside the Portuguese actors, the festival introduced its curators for the film, talks, and podcasts sections: Patrícia Vasconcelos, founder of the Passaporte Lisboa project, film critic Rui Pedro Tendinha, and Joana Beleza, Deputy Director of Audio and Multimedia at Grupo Impresa.
Under the theme "Can storytelling change the world?", the conference, moderated by Júlia Palha, sparked a conversation on creativity's impact and the importance of making the festival a platform for diverse and emerging voices.
Affordable Tickets for Everyone
One of the major focuses for 2025 is the new ticketing strategy, aimed at making the festival more accessible. There are five types of tickets available, ranging from 15€ to 255€, depending on the days and areas visitors wish to explore.
Highlights include the Tribeca Full Pass (255€), granting access to the opening night (October 29) and all festival activities from October 30 to November 1, and the Talks & Podcasts Daily Pass (45€), perfect for those interested in live conversations and recordings, excluding cinema.
For film enthusiasts, the Cinema Pack I (65€) offers access to six film sessions (max. 3 per day), while Cinema Pack II (35€) provides entry to three sessions. The Cinema Session (15€) is an individual ticket for one session. The first phase of sales for the Tribeca Full Pass starts on June 24.
Another highlight of the 2025 edition is the inclusion of TUMO Lisboa as one of the festival's official venues, named The Auditorium, reinforcing its commitment to younger audiences.
With confirmed appearances by Kim Cattrall, Meg Ryan, and Giancarlo Esposito, the Tribeca Festival Lisboa is gearing up for a more inclusive edition, closer to creators and, above all, closer to the people.
