A Stunning Sci-Fi Residence in Algarve
Portugal's Algarve region is now home to a futuristic marvel, Sky Base One, priced at €9 million ($9.7 million). This unique residence, reminiscent of Star Trek’s Starship Enterprise, offers breathtaking views of the sea and was completed in 2023 by Spy Manor Productions, a film production and real estate development company.
Below a circular skylight, a perforated golden cylinder houses an elevator.
A Home Like No Other
Sky Base One is designed for sci-fi enthusiasts and features 6,700 square feet of innovative living space. The architects creatively integrated shapes and angles that evoke a spacecraft aesthetic. Emphasizing health and cleanliness, the residence was envisioned as a refuge post-COVID-19, with meticulous attention to airflow, materials, and surfaces.
Beyond the secure entrance, you'll find a serene courtyard with desert landscaping. The entrance gallery is topped with a gigantic skylight, leading to a great room that boasts a fireplace and a sleek, all-black kitchen.
A vanishing wall of glass unites the great room to a poolside terrace with an outdoor shower tube and open views toward the sea.
Luxurious Features
The home offers five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, with an expansive basement that can be customized for various purposes, including a gym, wine cellar, or a home theater. The lower level also features a showroom garage for displaying cars like art pieces.
