A New Kind of Community in the Algarve
Nestled just half an hour from the beaches, the Viceroy at Ombria Algarve is the first resort in Portugal operated by the prestigious Viceroy Hotels & Resorts brand. As we leave the center of Loulé, we wind through the beautiful landscapes until we arrive at a charming development perched atop a hill. Initially, it appears to be a village, but it’s actually a modern resort featuring low-rise buildings amidst ongoing construction.
The Viceroy aims to create a sense of community, encouraging both golf enthusiasts and relaxation seekers to enjoy various activities in a serene setting, far from the bustling Algarve beaches. Rui João, the head of reception, emphasizes this vision, stating, "It’s like a village," inviting guests to immerse themselves in a unique experience away from the crowds.
