Embraer, the Brazilian aerospace giant, is set to expand its operations in Lisbon by establishing a second unit dedicated to air traffic control and defense systems. This move comes after the successful setup of its defense subsidiary in the city, which already employs 30 people.
Frederico Lemos, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Embraer in Portugal, confirmed the expansion, highlighting Lisbon's strategic importance to the company's global operations. The new unit is expected to further strengthen Portugal's position in the aerospace and defense sectors, attracting more investments and creating high-skilled jobs.
This development underscores Lisbon's growing appeal as a hub for international companies in the aerospace industry, offering a skilled workforce and strategic location for accessing European and global markets.
