Resumption of Air Services
The air connections between Bragança and Portimão are set to resume in December, just in time for Christmas celebrations. This announcement was made by Pedro Lima, the president of the Intermunicipal Community of Trás-os-Montes (CIMTTM), who confirmed that Miguel Pinto Luz, the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, has assured the public about this development.
Economic Implications
This move is expected to have positive impacts on both tourism and local businesses, enhancing connectivity for residents and visitors alike. The operator Sevenair, which provided the air service for the last four years, has claimed 3.8 million euros from the state, highlighting the financial aspects surrounding the air service's operational viability.
With the holiday season approaching, many are eagerly anticipating the return of this vital link between the northern and southern regions of Portugal.
