Christmas Concerts in Lisbon

From November 30th to December 14th, Lisbon will be filled with the spirit of Christmas through a series of free musical concerts organized by Egeac. The events will take place in various churches and at the Capitólio, showcasing a blend of traditional and contemporary music.

The program, titled Festas de Natal, promises to be a highlight of the festive season, featuring choirs and orchestras performing classical and traditional Portuguese melodies.

Concert Schedule

  • November 30: The Igreja do Santo Condestável in Campo de Ourique will kick off the celebrations at 9:00 PM with the Coro de Câmara Lisboa Cantat, performing villancicos and motets from the Renaissance era.
  • December 6: At the Igreja de Nossa Senhora das Mercês, the Nova Era Vocal Ensemble & Orquestra 1755 will present a repertoire spanning seven generations of the Bach family at the same time.
  • December 7: A shift in rhythm as Batida and Tigerman perform an exclusive DJ set at the Capitólio at 9:30 PM, blending afro-electronic and blues.
  • December 14: The series concludes with The Lucjy Duckies at the Capitólio, performing holiday classics made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Elvis Presley, along with original pieces and a tribute to António Variações.
