FlixBus Enhances Holiday Travel Between Lisbon and Porto
To meet the increasing demand during the Christmas and New Year season, FlixBus is boosting its connections between Lisbon and Porto, as well as other national destinations.

During this festive season, many Portuguese travel to be with their families for Christmas and New Year. In response to this demand, FlixBus has decided to increase its service starting this week and continuing through January.
The transport company announced that Lisbon and Porto will now have a total of 166 trips, with 83 in each direction. Additionally, trips to Coimbra have also been enhanced.
Moreover, there will be an increase in schedules and frequencies in the cities of Guarda, Viseu, Aveiro, and Figueira da Foz. The Algarve region will also see improvements in service.
More FlixBus Options to Airports and Spain
To facilitate travel for those heading abroad, FlixBus has also increased its connections to national airports. Furthermore, for those looking to travel to Vigo, one of the trendiest holiday destinations, there will be up to 14 direct daily bus connections from Lisbon, Fátima, Aveiro, Porto, Braga, and Coimbra.

New Domestic Destinations Planned for 2025
FlixBus has been expanding its presence in Portugal over the past few years, and this trend will continue into 2025. The company has announced the opening of additional domestic routes.
"Currently, FlixBus operates in 90 cities across Portugal, and in 2025, we will add 11 new destinations, all located in the interior of the country. In fact, nearly half of our destinations in 2025 will be in the interior," said Pablo Pastega, Vice President of FlixBus for Western Europe and General Director in Portugal.
