There will also be tailored programs for cultural professionals, including those working in libraries and schools.

A Focus on Contemporary Issues

The festival will intertwine Language, Literature, and Innovation, fostering discussions on contemporary communication challenges, the risks of misinformation, and the blurred lines between reality and fiction. The fifth edition of the Lisbon 5L Festival aims to address our fast-paced world, exploring the relationship between culture and innovation as a space for Utopia and Dystopia.

Celebrating Portuguese Language

Kicking off on May 5, which is also World Portuguese Language Day, the festival will feature various activities, including reading mediation initiatives organized by Lisbon's libraries across primary schools in the city.

From May 9 to 11, the festival will converge at the heart of Lisbon's innovation scene, the Beato Innovation District.
