Mondrian Arcaya is set to become the first Mondrian-branded hotel in Portugal, marking a significant milestone in the country's luxury hospitality sector. This emblematic project will be part of the Arcaya development by Bondstone in Vilamoura, Algarve. A memorandum of understanding has already been signed, signaling the start of this exciting venture.
Slated to open in 2028, the hotel will feature 120 rooms, including 30 luxury suites, offering a bold and immersive hospitality experience. It promises to blend excellent design, vibrant social spaces, and a deep connection with the surrounding cultural and natural heritage.
At the heart of the hotel, three restaurants and bars will serve modern and sophisticated cuisine. Highlights include a restaurant and lobby bar with all-day service, a poolside bar, and a rooftop restaurant with ocean views, all designed to surprise and delight the senses.
Additional amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center and three pools, crafted for ultimate relaxation in meticulously designed environments.
The introduction of Mondrian to Portugal underscores the Algarve's status as a premier European destination for design and lifestyle. Phil Zrihen of Ennismore highlights Portugal's cultural richness, stunning landscapes, and globally sought-after lifestyle as the perfect backdrop for Mondrian's debut in the country.
Paulo Loureiro of Bondstone expresses pride in bringing the Mondrian brand to Arcaya, aligning with Bondstone's mission to create beautiful, purposeful, and lasting places. The development aims to be a year-round, living community in harmony with nature, catering to a new generation seeking inspiration, well-being, and meaningful connections.
With 11 locations worldwide in cultural hotspots like Singapore, Los Angeles, and London, the Mondrian brand continues its global expansion, with upcoming openings in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bucharest, and the Maldives.
