PCP's Absence from November 25th Session
The PCP (Portuguese Communist Party) has announced its decision to not attend the solemn session commemorating the 25th of November in parliament. This announcement was made on Tuesday by the party's secretary-general, Paulo Raimundo.
Raimundo expressed that those promoting this commemorative event are aiming to "relaunch a counter-revolutionary offensive against April", referring to the Carnation Revolution which overthrew Portugal's dictatorship in 1974. The PCP's boycott signals their disapproval of the current political narrative surrounding this historical date.
