Seven districts in mainland Portugal are currently under a yellow warning due to rough maritime conditions, as reported by the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA). This alert is in effect from 6:00 PM today until 6:00 AM Monday. The affected districts include Porto, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra, and Braga.
According to the IPMA, northwest waves are expected to reach heights of 4 to 4.5 meters. A previous note released on Saturday indicated that the state of the sea would worsen starting this afternoon, prompting the yellow warning for these seven districts between 3:00 PM and midnight.
