Two British nationals have tragically died while on holiday in Portugal. The men, aged 27 and 29 and believed to be from Ipswich, drowned at a hotel in Albufeira, according to local Portuguese media reports.
A GoFundMe page set up in their memory revealed that they "tragically lost their lives less than 24 hours after arriving" in the popular tourist destination. Albufeira, known for its stunning coastline and vibrant nightlife, is located on the southern coast of Portugal, west of Faro.
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office has confirmed they are supporting the families of the deceased and are in contact with local authorities to assist in any way possible.
