The Palácio da Rosa, a historic 19th-century palace located in the Amoreiras district of Lisbon, has been transformed into a vibrant coworking space by Eureka Coworking. This majestic building, originally constructed in 1882 by Manuel José Monteiro, a Portuguese returning from Brazil, was designed to mimic his tropical mansion. Overlooking the iconic Aqueduto das Águas Livres, the palace has stood the test of time, surviving the urban development that turned its surroundings into the modern Amoreiras neighborhood.
The renovation has breathed new life into the palace, offering private offices, collaborative workspaces, and an exterior garden, covering approximately 1,000 m². This project is part of a growing European trend of repurposing historic buildings for professional and cultural uses, joining the ranks of Paris's Station F and Amsterdam's Spaces Herengracht.
Daniel Moral, co-founder of Eureka, shared the vision behind choosing such a unique location: "We wanted a space with soul, not just another office. The idea of giving a historic building a new purpose and creating new stories within it made perfect sense to us."
Throughout July, the Palácio da Rosa is opening its doors to those interested in experiencing a day of work in this extraordinary setting, blending history with modern workspace innovation.
