Lisbon is set to transform its public spaces into vibrant cultural hubs from September 6 to 21, with a series of free-access performances as part of the Festas na Rua initiative promoted by the local municipality. This exciting program, recently announced, promises to enrich the city's nights with diverse artistic expressions.
Opening Night Spectacle
Kicking off on September 6 at the Vale do Silêncio amphitheater in Parque Verde dos Olivais, the festivities begin with a concert by the orchestra and choir of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation at 9:30 PM. Under the direction of conductor Pedro Neves, the performance will feature iconic cinematic scores from films like "The Mission" by Ennio Morricone and "Harry Potter" by John Williams, alongside classical pieces by Verdi, Wagner, and Johann Strauss II.
