CDS-PP Algarve's Christmas Dinner

The CDS-PP Algarve held its annual Christmas dinner on December 14, attended by numerous members and supporters from across the Algarve. The event featured prominent figures including Rodrigo Borges de Freitas, the district president, Pedro Magalhães, the party's deputy secretary-general, and Fernando Barbosa, the national municipal coordinator of CDS-PP.

This gathering not only fostered a spirit of solidarity but also highlighted the humanistic values guiding the party's political actions, as it seeks to reinvigorate its presence in the region.

Charity Initiative

In addition to the usual political speeches, the dinner included a food drive aimed at creating a Christmas basket for a local charitable organization. This year, the chosen recipient was the Casa de Acolhimento 'Os Miúdos', located in Loulé, which provides immediate and temporary shelter for children at risk, including cases of abandonment, abuse, or neglect, ensuring the protection of their rights and freedoms.

The basket was delivered on Christmas Eve, with attendees including Rodrigo Borges de Freitas, Isilda Guerreiro, and António Farrajota from Loulé, alongside Paula Gabadinho Martins from Albufeira.

According to the party, the warm reception from the team at 'Os Miúdos' emphasized the importance of such actions, which provide comfort to those who tirelessly care for vulnerable children.

Rodrigo Borges de Freitas remarked that politics also involves acts of solidarity that strengthen ties to the community and individuals. "Our mission extends beyond political intervention; it's about supporting those in need, especially during such a special time as Christmas."

The CDS-PP Algarve reaffirms its commitment to supporting local institutions and promoting initiatives that celebrate solidarity, closeness, and social responsibility.
