The family of a Scottish man who vanished during a stag do in Portugal has flown out to assist in the search efforts. Greg Monks, 38, from Glasgow, was last seen leaving the main strip in Albufeira in the early hours of Wednesday morning. He had told friends he was returning to his accommodation around 2am but has not been seen since.
His family describes his disappearance as "not like him" and has set up a GoFundMe page to cover search costs. Greg's sister, Jillian Monks, has appealed for information on social media, stating the disappearance has been reported to local police and the British embassy.
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office is supporting the family and is in contact with Portuguese authorities. The community and Greg's loved ones are holding onto hope as the search continues.
