Arrow Group Takes Charge of Algarve's Luxury Hospitality
The Arrow Group, via Vilamoura World Holdings (VWH), is set to gain exclusive control over Minor Vilamoura, which operates a 5-star hotel in the Algarve region, specifically in Vilamoura, under the renowned Anantara Hotels & Resorts brand.
The Competition Authority confirmed that on December 16, it received a notification regarding this company concentration, which pertains to VWH's exclusive control over Minor Luxury Hotels Vilamoura, S.A..
VWH is a Portuguese company that is part of the Arrow Group. According to the Competition Authority, the group's activities in Portugal include managing delinquent credits and real estate investments, particularly through Norfin and Whitestar. They also operate tourist accommodations in the Algarve and Madeira, as well as golf courses in the Algarve and Lisbon. Additionally, they engage in the production and marketing of ceramic flooring and coatings.
Minor Vilamoura, on the other hand, is known for its 5-star hotel in the Algarve, enhancing the region's luxury tourism appeal.
