This musical has previously graced the stages of Broadway and the West End, and in 2021, it was adapted into a film directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, featuring Andrew Garfield and Vanessa Hudgens in lead roles. The Portuguese version will run from February 28 to April 27 and will be performed by Miguel Cruz and Sara Madeira.

The story is autobiographical, focusing on Jonathan Larson as he seeks success in the musical theater world while facing the pressures of turning 30. Tragically, Larson passed away at the age of 35, just a day before the premiere of his most famous musical, Rent, which will also be showcased at the Teatro Variedades this year.

Event Details:
Where: AuditĂłrio Santa Joana (Roma)
When: February 28 - April 27, Fridays and Saturdays at 21:30, Sundays at 16:30
