Dramatic Incident in Lisbon
A 17-year-old youth was seriously injured on Monday after jumping from the 7th floor of a building to escape a fire on the Avenida Estados Unidos da América in Lisbon. The incident occurred shortly after 7 PM and has raised concerns about fire safety in residential areas.
The fire reportedly started in the kitchen of the apartment and was brought under control by 24 firefighters using six fire trucks by 7:26 PM. The injured teen was promptly transported to Santa Maria Hospital for treatment. This incident highlights the urgent need for effective fire safety measures in high-rise buildings to prevent such dangerous situations in the future.
