Meeting Highlights
The Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, Xanana Gusmão, was warmly welcomed by the President of the Assembly of the Republic. Gusmão also held discussions at São Bento Palace with Luís Montenegro.
New Strategic Cooperation Program
During the visit, a new Strategic Cooperation Program was signed. This initiative includes two significant agreements aimed at the rehabilitation of heritage and infrastructure in Timor-Leste.
Financial Commitment
Timor-Leste is set to receive €75 million by 2028, reinforcing the commitment between the two nations to enhance collaboration and support.
