Lince Capital, a Portuguese investment firm, has secured a 35% stake in AlgarExperience – Enjoy the Sea, a prominent boat tour operator in the Algarve. This strategic investment was made through the Lince Growth Fund I, with the aim of expanding the company's operations to more marinas across the region.

Currently, AlgarExperience operates in the marinas of Albufeira and Vilamoura, with plans to extend its presence to Lagos Marina. This move is expected to enhance Portugal's reputation as a top nautical tourism destination.
Pedro Bacalhau, the founder and CEO of AlgarExperience, remains the majority shareholder. He expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting its potential to boost the maritime-tourism sector.

Established in 2006, AlgarExperience boasts a fleet of seven main vessels and five support boats, offering a variety of activities, including visits to the Benagil Caves and dolphin watching tours. The company, under the commercial name Várzeamar – Actividades Marítimo-Turísticas S.A., reported sales of approximately 5.34 million euros in 2023.
The transaction was advised by Uría Menéndez law firm and PwC consultancy, marking a significant step in the growth of Portugal's nautical tourism industry.
