A devastating fire broke out early Tuesday morning at a warehouse storing Chinese products and materials in the industrial zone of Santarém. The fire was reported to be under control by 07:00, with operations now focused on dousing remaining hot spots.

The alert for the fire was raised at 01:22, and thankfully, there were no reported casualties. By 08:20, the fire was declared to be in the final stages of containment, with the last updates confirming that the fire was fully under control by 07:02.

As of 08:24, 52 firefighters from various local brigades including Santarém, Almeirim, Torres Novas, and others were still on-site, supported by 20 vehicles. The quick response prevented the fire from spreading to other buildings in the industrial area, showcasing the effectiveness of the local emergency services.
