With a privileged view over the rugged coast of Ponta da Piedade and just steps away from the region's most iconic beaches, this new hotel unit represents a new way to experience the Algarve: more authentic, more serene, more integrated into the territory.
The The Editory by The Sea Lagos is designed for those seeking more than just a stay: a place where tranquility, local identity, and sophistication meet in harmony.
"This moment marks more than the opening of a new hotel unit, as it represents the materialization of a strategic vision that unites hospitality, local identity, and excellence. It also reinforces our commitment to the Algarve Region, whose beauty, authenticity, and cultural richness deserve to be valued through a distinctive and integrated hotel proposal," emphasizes Gonçalo Bernardes, CEO of The Editory Collection Hotels group.
With 204 rooms spread over nine floors, a restaurant, two bars, a gym, rooftop, indoor and outdoor pools, a kids' club, and a 120m² meeting room, the hotel was designed to provide complete experiences to its visitors—whether it's family vacations, romantic getaways, or work stays away from the city.
Just minutes from the heart of Lagos and some of the country's most iconic beaches—such as Dona Ana—choosing Lagos as its home, the group strengthens its positioning in a territory where history, culture, and nature intertwine. With its narrow streets, golden cliffs, and flavors from the sea, Lagos remains one of the most genuine and captivating places in the south of the country.
The interiors evoke the soft tones and texture of the Algarve landscape, combining comfort with a welcoming and informal environment. The result is a light atmosphere where time slows down and the focus turns to well-being.
In the same structure is The Editory Residence Lagos, consisting of 72 T1 to T3 tourist apartments, with equipped kitchens, private parking, and access to hotel services during certain periods of the year. A versatile solution, ideal for extended stays or for those who prefer greater autonomy without giving up comfort.
A Hotel for Everyone
The The Editory by The Sea Lagos is the ideal place for couples, families, digital nomads, or Algarve lovers, this space offers not just accommodation, but a true refuge where it's possible to stop, breathe, and reconnect—with oneself and with the surroundings.
This is a hotel for families, but also for moments of relaxation, with a heated indoor pool and outdoor pool, inviting you to enjoy moments of rest in the garden, while the little ones have fun in the playground, games room, or enjoy the themed activities of the kids' club.
But The Editory by The Sea Lagos doesn't stand out only for its leisure spaces; in the rooms, guests have at their disposal a coffee machine, selection of teas, mini bar, pool towel, air conditioning, among other details designed for those who value every moment of their stay.
Gastronomic Journey Through the Region
The hotel also invites you to embark on a gastronomic experience, whether at the Coral restaurant, the relaxed Crab’Ar, or the sophisticated Oyster Bar.
The Coral restaurant, a space for about 200 people, offers a menu inspired by the authentic flavors of the Algarve, with a special focus on fresh products. Daily, guests have at their disposal a buffet that favors fresh and regional products, reinterpreted with creativity and whose main star is grilled fish.
But the options don't stop here, the unit also has Crab’Ar (by the pool area) and the Oyster Bar, which offer light meals and cocktails all day, in an informal and sunny atmosphere.
Giving Space to Art
In this hotel, art is not left out; The Editory by The Sea Lagos pays homage to the Algarve's tapestry and the region's corals, on the verge of extinction, with an artistic installation titled Balance.
The exhibition is by Vanessa Barragão, a textile artist inspired by nature and the ocean, promoting a commitment to ecology and sustainability through the use of waste from the national textile industry.
With Balance, the artist expresses the balance that the sea conveys in observation, in shades of white and blue that translate into peace and tranquility, while the lines and organic shapes refer to the sea's contents and the wind, establishing a connection between the movements of nature and the mind.
The exhibition can be seen in the hotel's reception area.
Conscious and Sustainable Tourism
This new venture is not limited to aesthetics. With an active policy of efficient resource management and valorization of local products, The Editory by The Sea Lagos positions itself as a sustainable hotel attentive to environmental preservation, promoting more conscious tourism.
