The Ria Formosa Festival 2025 is set to take place in Faro, at Largo de São Francisco, from July 31 to August 10, 2025 (Thursday to Sunday), reaffirming its status as one of the Algarve's premier gastronomic and cultural events. With free admission, the festival celebrates the unique flavors of Ria Formosa, local traditions, and family-friendly entertainment. Over 11 days, fresh seafood from Ria Formosa takes center stage, prepared and served in various typical ways, always at affordable prices. The spacious venue, with about 6,000 seated places, offers a comfortable setting to enjoy regional delicacies and socialize with friends and family.
Musical entertainment is one of the festival's highlights, with daily performances by popular artists ensuring lively nights and plenty of fun. Past editions have featured names like Micaela, Rosinha, Jorge Guerreiro, and Sérgio Rossi, artists beloved by the Portuguese public. This year's edition shines the spotlight on: Mónica Sintra, Shakra, “Quem é o Bob”, Tânya, Domingos Caetano, Belito, Miguel Azevedo, Ganda Banda, Xana Carvalho, Jéssica Xaveiro, and os 3 AM. The organization continues its commitment to featuring top names in Portuguese music, offering a diverse program for all tastes and audiences, with an expected total attendance of around 100,000 people over the 11 days.
Organized by VIVMAR – Associação dos Viveiristas e Mariscadores da Ria Formosa, with support from the Faro City Council and the Union of Parishes of Faro, the festival underscores a commitment to promoting local products and Algarve traditions.
