Arrests in Algarve
46 individuals were arrested by the GNR in the Algarve from December 23 to 29, with 23 arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol, nine for driving without a license, and four for drug trafficking.
Drug Seizures
During this period, authorities also seized 231 doses of hashish, a knuckle duster, pepper spray, and a knife.
Traffic Violations
In total, 662 traffic violations were recorded:
- 98 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection
- 84 for speeding
- 54 related to issues with lighting and signaling systems
- 25 for lack of civil liability insurance
- 22 for incorrect usage of seatbelts and child restraint systems
- 9 for improper use of mobile phones while driving
Accidents Report
Additionally, 74 accidents were reported, resulting in 11 minor injuries.
