Three women were detained in Lisbon on Tuesday, accused of drug trafficking, following searches that led to the seizure of 29,000 individual doses of heroin and €35,940 in cash. The arrests took place in Campo de Ourique, with the suspects preparing the drugs for sale to end consumers.
During the house searches, authorities found the substantial amount of heroin, alongside the cash, highlighting the scale of the operation. The suspects were presented to the competent judicial authority for their first interrogation and have been placed in preventive detention, the most severe coercive measure, awaiting trial.
The operation, conducted by the Lisbon PSP, involved eight house search warrants in the Vale de Alcântara area, underscoring the ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the city.
