A massive international money laundering scheme, which since 2024 has 'washed' €57.5 million, was dismantled by the Porto Judicial Police. 21 defendants were constituted, including some companies, but only four people, three men and one woman, of Chinese nationality, aged between 25 and 40, were detained. The men were remanded in custody after being presented to the Porto criminal investigation court. The woman was subjected to coercion measures prohibiting contact with the other involved parties and weekly presentations. €1.5 million in cash was seized.
