A fire broke out in a store in Alcântara, Lisbon, leading to the evacuation of the building and the closure of traffic in three surrounding streets. As of now, there are no reports of injuries.
The incident prompted a swift response from local authorities, including the PSP and Lisbon's Sapadores Firefighters. Eight fire trucks and 30 operational personnel were dispatched to the scene to combat the blaze, which was reported at 21:21 by both emergency services and local residents.
Traffic disruptions are significant, with closures at the intersection of Rua dos Lusíadas and Rua Luís de Camões, in both directions, and on Rua 1º de Maio. The PSP has deployed four patrol cars to manage the situation.
The fire, which has not yet been extinguished, continues to be a concern for emergency teams on the ground. Updates will follow as more information becomes available.
