Heavy Rain Causes Widespread Flooding in Lisbon District
At 3:30 PM, the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection had recorded 49 incidents in the Lisbon district due to flooding of structures or surfaces caused by intense rainfall.
Specific Incidents in Mafra Municipality
Two of these incidents occurred in the Mafra municipality: one in Quinta do Outeiro and another in Malveira, both within the Union of Parishes of Malveira and São Miguel de Alcainça.
Additional Weather-Related Damages
Besides the floods, the district also experienced a collapse of construction elements on built structures and a tree fall.
Orange Weather Warning in Effect
The Lisbon district is under an orange warning until 9 PM today, due to forecasts of heavy precipitation, sometimes strong and accompanied by thunderstorms.
