A 42-year-old man with a criminal record was arrested by PSP investigators in Lisbon for stealing an electric bike from a 59-year-old victim. The incident occurred early Thursday morning on Avenida do Brasil.

Aggressive Robbery with Martial Arts Threat

The assailant aggressively stopped the victim, claiming to have martial arts skills and being accompanied to intimidate. The victim handed over the GIRA electric bike (a municipal bike-sharing service) but quickly contacted EMEL/GIRA and filed a report at the Campo Grande police station.

Swift Police Action

Using the suspect's description, PSP located him riding the stolen bike in downtown Lisbon. The victim identified him, leading to his arrest. Due to his prior criminal record, the suspect was held in preventive custody after appearing in court.
