Investigations are underway at PSP stations in Lisbon, targeting crimes such as torture, aggravated physical offenses, embezzlement, and forgery. The focus is on two specific officers, for whom detention orders have already been issued, as confirmed by the Lisbon District Prosecutor's Office.
In addition to the station raids, home searches are being conducted with PSP's cooperation. The police were the ones who initially reported the incidents to the MP. "So far, about a dozen offenses have been reported. The operations are led by MP magistrates with PSP's collaboration," stated the Attorney General's Office in a release about the investigation, which is being handled by Lisbon's Department of Investigation and Penal Action (DIAP).
The PSP confirmed the raids at some stations under the 1st Police Division of Lisbon but emphasized that no arrests have been made yet.
