Infanta Sofia of Spain Arrives in Lisbon for Studies
Infanta Sofia, the youngest daughter of the King and Queen of Spain, is set to begin a new chapter in her life this month in Lisbon. At 18 years old, she will enroll in the prestigious Foward College to study Political Science and International Relations.
The campus, located in the heart of Chiado, will be the setting for her academic days over the next year. However, she won't be living there. Instead, the Spanish royals have chosen a more tranquil location in Benfica, a parish further from the city center, where the exclusive university residence of Foward College is situated. This residence is just a 30-minute metro ride from the Chiado campus and five minutes from Monsanto Forest Park.
Shared kitchen facilities at the residence
The luxury student residence features rooms or studios ranging from 13 to 20 square meters, equipped with shared kitchens, study rooms, a gym, an entertainment lounge, laundry facilities, gardens, and 24-hour security.
Private studio with en-suite bathroom
According to research by CM, prices for a room start at 690 euros for a standard option and go up to 1090 euros for a 'Boss' studio, which includes a kitchenette and private bathroom.
Entertainment lounge for students
Unlike her previous boarding school experience in Wales, Sofia will now enjoy more freedom and a routine similar to other students her age, embracing a typical university lifestyle in Lisbon.
