A TAP Air Portugal flight bound for Natal, Brazil, was forced to return to Lisbon's airport this Tuesday following a medical emergency involving the pilot.
According to reports, the pilot began experiencing symptoms of renal colic just 30 minutes after takeoff. After declaring a medical emergency, the aircraft was redirected back to Lisbon, where the pilot was promptly taken to the hospital.
"TAP confirms that flight TP007 to Natal returned to Lisbon due to a medical emergency on board, triggering the standard procedures for such situations," an official TAP source revealed.
The incident underscores the importance of swift action and preparedness in handling in-flight medical emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of both passengers and crew.
