Minister Nuno Melo emphasized that 2024 marks a turning point in national defense investment, transitioning from a phase of decline to a positive outlook after eight years of contraction. This shift presents a wealth of new opportunities for the Portuguese industry, aligning with the government's strategic vision for the sector.
Ricardo Pinheiro Alves, President of IdD, highlighted the diversity within the defense industry, which encompasses various sectors including textiles, footwear, metalworking, and technology.
