New Funding Opportunities for Algarve Fisheries Under MAR 2030 Program
The Comissão de Coordenação e Desenvolvimento Regional do Algarve (CCDR Algarve) has announced the opening of new application notices under the MAR 2030 Program, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness, sustainability, and resilience of the fisheries and aquaculture sector in the region.
With a total national allocation of 14.4 million euros, these initiatives are designed to support key areas including innovation, internationalization, and modernization in the Algarve.
Support for Knowledge Transfer Between Scientists and Fishermen
This notice promotes cooperation between the scientific community and the fisheries sector through partnerships that encourage productive and organizational innovation, deepen applied scientific knowledge in fishing, and enhance operator involvement in participatory and responsible maritime space management.
- Application period: From 09:00 on 10/10/2025 to 18:00 on 10/11/2025
- Allocation: 300,000 €
Actions for Internationalization of the Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Fish Processing and Marketing Sector
This initiative supports certification and commercial promotion activities for fisheries, aquaculture, and processing products, fostering internationalization of companies and reducing import dependency to boost sector resilience and competitiveness.
- Application period: From 09:00 on 06/10/2025 to 18:00 on 31/10/2025
- Allocation: 1,500,000 €
Transformation of Fisheries and Aquaculture Products – Productive Investments
Aimed at promoting food security and added value in the processing of fisheries and aquaculture products, this notice backs productive investments that modernize processing units and enhance the final product.
- Application period: From 09:00 on 04/10/2025 to 18:00 on 31/10/2025
- Allocation: 3,000,000 €
Support for Investments in Fishing Ports, Landing Sites, Fish Markets, and Shelters
This funding is intended to improve safety and operational conditions in fishing ports by providing adequate infrastructure and ice production capacity, supporting critical interventions for port modernization and efficiency.
- Application period: From 09:00 on 04/10/2025 to 18:00 on 15/12/2025
- Allocation: 9,600,000 €

The MAR 2030 Program, funded by the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (FEAMPA), supports sustainable development of marine and fisheries activities, contributing to the blue transition and strengthening economic and social cohesion in coastal regions.
