The 2nd Algarve Wine Session is set to take place on October 17, 2025, at the Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa. This event brings together producers, experts, and wine enthusiasts to celebrate the finest of Algarve viticulture, showcasing the region's quality and unique grape varieties like Negra Mole.
A major highlight this year is the event's opening to the general public, in addition to the Horeca channel. With a packed schedule including tastings, interactions with producers, a lecture, and masterclasses, the Algarve Wine Session aims to promote Algarve wines far and wide, emphasizing their growing importance in the local economy.
Program Highlights
- Opening Lecture (11:00 – 12:00): Titled "Raízes Regenerativas: Inovação e Sustentabilidade na Viticultura Algarvia" (Regenerative Roots: Innovation and Sustainability in Algarve Viticulture), featuring regional experts and producers.
- Free Tasting Session (14:00 – 19:45): Dozens of Algarve wines and regional products available for sampling.
- Thematic Masterclasses:
- Alma do Algarve: Vinhos e Gastronomia (16:00) – Led by Hilton Vilamoura Executive Chef André Simões and sommelier Miguel Martins.
- Entre Barrocal e Mar: Os vinhos do Algarve (19:15) – Led by wine expert Gilmar Brito.

This initiative by the Algarve Wine Commission seeks to bring the public closer to regional wines, promote enotourism, and highlight sustainable practices in viticulture.
