Event Details in Lisbon

The programming kicks off at 3 PM on Saturday, October 18, at the Areeiro roundabout. After what promises to be a massive parade—supported by around 140 organizations nationwide—the solidarity will resonate at the Fórum Lisboa starting at 4 PM.

Hosted by actress Joana Figueira, the concert will showcase talents including Expresso Transatlântico, Prétu, Freddy Locks, Boémia, Handala Dabke, Jorge Barata, ÚDI, and Diego Jansen. Admission is free but limited to the venue's capacity.

Broader Campaign and Initiatives

This concert and the preceding demonstration are integral to the campaign "Todos pela Palestina! Fim ao genocídio! Fim à ocupação!" (All for Palestine! End the Genocide! End the Occupation!). Organized by the Conselho Português para a Paz e Cooperação (CPPC), CGTP-IN, Movimento pelos Direitos do Povo Palestino e pela Paz no Médio Oriente (MPPM), and Projecto Ruído – Associação Juvenil, the campaign's peak will be the November 29 demonstrations in Lisbon and Porto, marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

Concerts in Coimbra and Loulé

Beyond Lisbon, other cities are joining the cause with their own peace concerts for Palestine.

  • In Coimbra: On Friday, October 17, at 9:30 PM, the Sala Afonso Henriques (Convento de São Francisco) will host performances by Cooperativa Bonifrates with guest musicians Guilherme Ala and João Freitas, the Coro de Ateneu de Coimbra, Dixie Gringos – Jazz Band, and Grupo Corrente. Isabel Camarinha from the CPPC national board will speak, and there will be a poetry moment with Isabel Morais and Mafalda Pena. Free tickets are available on-site from today, between 3 PM and 8 PM.
  • In Loulé: On October 26, at 5 PM, the Cineteatro Louletano will feature acts from Casa da Cultura de Loulé, Contemporâneo Fusion Dança, José Alegre, Luís Galrito, and António Hilário, presented by Catarina Teixeira. Free tickets can be picked up at the venue from 3 PM on the day of the concert.
