A dramatic rescue operation unfolded in Albufeira this Monday afternoon after a wall collapsed at a construction site in Praia da Coelha, leaving two individuals trapped under the rubble. The incident, which occurred around 3:13 PM, prompted a swift response from emergency services.
Over 20 emergency personnel, supported by eight vehicles and an INEM helicopter, were mobilized to the scene. Both victims were reported to be conscious and showing signs of life throughout the ordeal.
One victim was successfully rescued and is currently undergoing medical evaluation on-site. The second victim was extracted shortly after and airlifted to a nearby hospital for urgent care. Despite the successful rescue, the health conditions of both individuals remain unknown, though they are considered to be in serious condition.
