A Taste of the Mediterranean in the Heart of Lisbon
Nestled between Avenida da Liberdade and the Arco do Triunfo, Arc Restaurant offers a unique blend of Portuguese sophistication and Mediterranean freshness. This luxurious and elegant space in central Lisbon promises an unparalleled gastronomic experience, where every detail—from the decor to the menu—reflects impeccable care and contemporary refinement, making it feel like an exclusive invitation.
The Vision Behind Arc
From the same owners as Cuá Cuá, Bliss, Torremar, and Burguesinha, Arc brings the spirit of St. Tropez and the Côte d'Azur through a fusion of Mediterranean flavors, masterminded by chef Luís Campos. The goal is to serve high gastronomy in an elegant and festive atmosphere, featuring pink chairs, orange tree pots in the corners, and a DJ creating a unique soundtrack. As you sit down, prepare for a culinary journey.
The Menu: A Feast for the Senses
Beyond the beautiful ambiance, which exudes elegance and luxury, the menu at Arc is equally impressive. With dish names so appetizing they make you want to try everything, there are tasty options for all tastes, ensuring every bite is a celebration of flavors and sophistication.
For starters, you might choose sheep's cheese (€4.30) or ricotta dip with nori seaweed powder (€3.80), before moving on to appetizers like garden fish with coriander mayonnaise (€11.50) and bao with smoked pork belly (€12.50). During a visit, the highlights were the smoked veal croquettes (€12.50) and the white fish ceviche with sweet potato puree, tiger's milk, and wakame (€18.50)—undoubtedly standout dishes of the evening.
The croquettes earned a spot on Lisbon's must-try list, with perfectly smoked and flavorful veal. The ceviche won us over with its sweet potato puree, creating a perfect match, though the wakame added a fresh touch that wasn't our favorite. Moving to main courses, it's wise to check availability first, as some dishes were sold out during the visit.
Main Courses and Desserts
Main options include grilled tiger shrimp with butter, garlic, and chili sauce (€45), octopus with sweet potato puree, green asparagus, and roasted pepper gel (€32), porcini risotto (€28), wagyu picanha (€49), aged entrecôte (€38), confit duck leg with truffled mushroom risotto (€26), and bouillabaisse (€32.50). The bouillabaisse, a fish and seafood soup, was tasty but hard to pick specific pieces from, while the duck leg was large and not to our palate's liking, though overall dishes were well-prepared.
For dessert, choices include fig tarte tatin (€10.50), chocolate mille-feuille with raspberries (€11), frozen salted caramel soufflé (€9.50), or the chocolate world with chocolate panna cotta, chocolate crumble, salted caramel parfait, chocolate tile, Belgian chocolate ice cream, and passion fruit gel, all drizzled with hot chocolate (€11). The mille-feuille and soufflé were highlights, offering a perfect balance of textures and flavors, showcasing the chef's creativity and making the meal's end memorable.
