Decline in Applicant Numbers
In the first phase of applications for 2025, the number of candidates dropped significantly to 48,718, a 16.4% decrease from the 58,301 in 2024. Of these, 43,899 students were placed, marking a 12.1% reduction compared to 49,963 in the previous year.
90.1% of total candidates were placed in this first phase, with 90.9% of admitted students getting one of their top three choices, as highlighted by the Ministry of Education.

The second phase of applications starts this Monday and runs until September 4. Matriculations for those placed in the first phase begin this Monday and continue until Thursday.
