In a swift operation, the PSP of Lisbon apprehended two fugitives in separate incidents on the same day. Both men had outstanding prison warrants issued by the court.
First Arrest: Routine Stop Turns Into Fugitive Capture
At approximately 5:45 AM on Monday, a 27-year-old man was stopped during a routine traffic operation in Lumiar. Admitting to the officers that he was wanted by the law, subsequent checks revealed he had a one-year prison sentence to serve. He was promptly taken to Lisbon's prison facility.
Second Arrest: Drug Trafficker with Six-Year Sentence Caught
Later that day, in Campo de Ourique, the Lisbon Criminal Investigation Division executed a judicial arrest warrant on a 34-year-old man. Wanted for drug trafficking, he was sentenced to six years in prison and was also transported to a penitentiary.
These operations highlight the PSP's relentless efforts to ensure justice is served, removing dangerous individuals from the streets of Lisbon.
