Performance Cancelled in Monção
The monologue "Ninguém", featuring text and direction by Zeferino Mota and performed by actor António Capelo, has been cancelled. It was scheduled for October 4 at the Auditório do Cine Teatro João Verde in Monção. The cancellation was confirmed to Observador by a source from Teatro do Bolhão.
This development comes as Capelo, aged 69, faces accusations from former students of alleged sexual harassment and abuse spanning decades. A recent investigation has brought these claims to light.

Official Statements and Reactions
On the Facebook page of Cine Teatro João Verde, a note was posted last week citing "motivos alheios" (reasons beyond the venue's control) for the cancellation. Additionally, the event page has been removed from the municipal cultural agenda.
When contacted by Observador, António Capelo declined to comment on the reasons for the cancellation. Efforts to reach Pedro Aparício, director of Teatro do Bolhão and producer of the show, were unsuccessful. Aparício recently resigned from his position at ACE amid the controversy.
About the Show "Ninguém"
Produced by Teatro do Bolhão, "Ninguém" is a monologue that explores the art of acting. It connects António Capelo's artistic journey with autobiographical voices of actors from the past two centuries, reflecting on anxieties, stereotypes, and the essence of the profession. The show premiered at Palácio do Bolhão in November 2021.
